The Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008, Public Law 110–403 (Oct. 13, 2008) (also known as the "PRO IP Act’’) created, within the Executive Office of the President, the position of the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC). The PRO-IP Act requires the IPEC to chair an interagency intellectual property enforcement advisory committee in order to develop an Administration strategy for enforcement against intellectual property infringement cThe IPEC is working with the interagency advisory committee to develop this Joint Strategic Plan which is expected to be issued in mid-2010.

  June 23, 2010 IIPA supports the Administration's new Joint Strategic Plan for IP Enforcement
  March 24, 2010 IIPA submitted comments to the IP Enforcement Coordinator on the development of a Joint Strategic Plan for intellectual property enforcement.
  September 30, 2009 IIPA supported the nomination of Victoria Espinel as the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator. 
  September 22, 2009 IIPA Presidents sent a letter to President Obama regarding the importance of ACTA and  the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC).
